About West Coast Swing

West Coast Swing is versatile partner dance, danced to a wide range of popular music from blues to pop, slow swing and R&B. Constantly evolving, West Coast Swing today combines swing connection and rhythms with independent music inspired by influences from nearly every other dance style. It is a smooth, cool, laid-back dance that can be funky, groovy or lyrical, depending on the music and your personal style. It’s extremely popular in the U.S.A. and is the official state dance of California.
